We have a Great Pyrenees - husky mix and have been struggling with handling his protective/sometimes aggressive behaviors for a year or two now. We have reached out to other trainers in the past, but we were not seeing any lasting results. We met Francine and were blown away by how intentional she is with her training. She truly got to know Koda, took time to listen to all of our concerns, and immediately implemented strategies to help. She has great insight, experience and feedback. She made sure we had all the tools in place to give our Koda the best chance at learning and being safe. We’ve been seeing so much growth for the first time and can’t wait to keep learning more! Highly recommend!

I could not recommend Francine enough! She was extremely flexible and patient when working with me to create a training plan for my dogs. My dogs are an interesting pair with completely opposite personalities so having someone who was able to listen to our situation and create solutions for our unique issues was absolutely vital. Her group classes are extremely informative and Francine gives personal attention and advice to each and every dog to meet their training goal needs (all this for an extremely/most affordable price in the dog training world I have been able to find in our area).

I joined the Fall Dog Training class with a 3 year old rescue from a neglected puppy mill. Francine was very helpful in all aspects of working with a rescue dog. She taught me the patience necessary as well as identifying behavior signs and health issues. Francine was very receptive to all of my concerns.

Biscuit was only 9 months old when we started working with Francine in a group setting. We have been to other group training classes in the past but still had issues with Biscuit’s leash walking, getting distracted on our outdoor walks, and jumping on people. When the group classes ended, we hired Francine for one and one training at home. It made a huge difference. Francine was very patient, firm, consistent, and direct with Biscuit. Francine was so open and taught each of our family members how to discipline Biscuit. She followed up with us after each lesson and was open for any questions or concerns. We highly recommend Canine Commissioner for your dog’s help for discipline and training.

Our Story

"Before I started my own business, I worked as an office manager at a dog training facility. I knew the regimens, I saw the results, and I watched dogs graduate with perfect manners. I adopted my own dog, a Pero De Presa Canario, from there—a brilliant animal who was a model of obedience in his kennel. Naturally, I thought I was set. I was an insider! If anyone knew how to handle a dog, it was me.

But the moment we walked through my front door, I met a completely new dog. All that perfect, facility-based training seemed to vanish. In the controlled environment of the kennel, he was a superstar. In my living room, my neighborhood, and around my guests, he was like a kid in a candy store without supervision. I did not understand that I had to generalize his skills to real life.

I was overwhelmed, thinking I had failed or made a mistake in adopting this dog. I had the knowledge, but I was missing the map for how to make that training stick in a chaotic, real-world setting. It was a massive wake-up call that training isn't about teaching commands; it's about building a relationship and a system that works under real-life accountability.

That’s why I’m here today. I had to take a step back and realize that even as an experienced dog handler, I needed a proven structure to guide me in a home environment. My struggle to generalize his training is why I’m so passionate about giving you the framework for loving obedience and a dog who listens in your home, not just in a classroom. I found the map, and now I’m here to hand it to you, so you don’t have to DIY your way through the same frustration I did."
